The brief
The founder wanted an AI coach that answers the question people actually have at mealtime — what should I eat right now? — across three moments: ordering at a restaurant, planning the week on a budget, and cooking from the fridge. It needed to feel native on iPhone, work on the web for everyone else, and make money from day one.
What we built
- Native SwiftUI iOS app (iOS 17+) sharing one Firebase backend with the web app
- Next.js progressive web app for Android and desktop users
- Admin console gated by Firebase custom claims
- Cloud Functions for AI menu and fridge scans, email, and a founding-member program
- StoreKit 2 subscriptions verified server-side, plus App Store Server Notifications
- Install attribution and analytics events wired from launch
- Marketing site and support pages on Firebase Hosting
Outcome
Dialed In is live on the App Store with paid subscriptions, a web app for non-iOS users, and an admin team that can manage content and users without touching code.
